Creating Independent Natural and Conservation Burial Grounds
in the Heart of New Hampshire
Oliverian Everalasting Burial Ground is Now Open!

Our Mission

Creating Natural Burial Grounds

White Mountain Conservation Burial provides independent conservation burial space, ideally in partnership with land trust entities, to protect land while honoring the lives of all who have valued the Lakes Region and White Mountains of New Hampshire.

Our goal is to establish natural and conservation burial grounds in various locations surrounding the central NH area, including Grafton, Carroll, and Belknap counties.

Nonprofit Support

Partnering in Conservation

Our 501(c)13 cemetery nonprofit organization partners with landowners, conservation commissions, and land trusts to build and maintain burial grounds on land located in environments that resonate with nature enthusiasts.

Whether you've spent time hiking the 4,000 footers or been surrounded by them while on the lakes, you may be hoping to find a permanent home in a place that honors your experience of central and northern New Hampshire.
How Natural Burial Works

Sense of Place

Why the Whites and Lakes?

Many people want to be buried as close to places people have associated them with during their lifetime. This sense of place is central to the concept of natural burial, but in a different way.

Rather than focusing on proximity, people who choose natural burial often value the sense of place being in nature provides. It's about belonging to the land that sustained them in life. And it's about leaving a legacy of environmental stewardship that protects human, plant, and animal communities long past well beyond their time on Earth.
