Want to Meet Other Volunteers and Make a Difference Together?

Work Days are every second Saturday of the month, May to November, 10 am - 1 pm. Bring some tools, lots of bug and tick spray, lunch and hydration, and be ready to dive into the job du jour. We always have plenty of projects in the works. It's about clearing space for burial and building walking trails, but more importantly, it's about the friends you make along the way. Join us!

Leaders Are Always in Demand

Every cemetery in New Hampshire must be organized and run by a 501(c)13 nonprofit corporation with a working board of at least five directors. White Mountain Conservation Burial acts as the nonprofit entity for burial grounds throughout the region, so our working board spans the entire region. If you're interested in joining the Board, just let us know.

Find Something That Floats Your Boat

If you want to find another way to support the work, there will be plenty to do, from newsletter mailing lists to public outreach to fielding questions to gathering and soliciting supplies, and more.
Volunteers Are Our Most Valuable Asset

Roll Up Your Sleeves

If you want to be part of a trail crew, we'll have plenty for you to do! Every location will need trail development and maintenance for both burial areas and recreational pathways for hikers, birdwatchers, nature classes, and community events.

Pick Up a Shovel

Burials go best when there are many shovels at work. If you'd like to be on call to help with prepping, and clean up before and after services, add your name to the list. Nothing feels better than a good bit of digging with like-minded souls. Ask the volunteers at Prairie Creek's Society of the Pick and Spade!
