Winter Burial
Burials in winter will take extra time to remove snow, thaw through the frost layer, and dig. An additional $200 will be charged. We will make every effort to open the grave as quickly as possible, but there may be an extra day or two before burial is possible. Weather conditions will also dictate when and where burials can occur.

Charitable Giving
We welcome tax-deductible donations by those able to pay more so we can keep those funds in reserve for those who are not able to pay as much, for infants and children, guardian recipients/wards, and veteran burials where the VA benefit does not cover the full cost. Discounted rates will be awarded depending on charitable giving fund availability.

Conservation Fund
A substantial portion of the burial right price will be held in reserve to go toward conservation and restoration efforts on the property, further land acquisitions, and conservation easement funds.

About Cremated Remains Burial
Burial of cremated remains includes the use of a wool shroud and/or treatment with an enzyme product. Cremated remains are not harmless ashes; they are comprised of calcium phosphate and sodium that is 2,000 (at first) to 200 times (after 3 years) too alkaline to support plant root growth after undergoing a high energy output process that emits mercury and other particulates into the air and water. We accept cremated remains primarily as a courtesy to natural burial families. Human cremated remains will be treated with a special enzyme product and buried in a wool shroud that we provide.

About Pet Burial
Many people regard pets as members of their family and wish to have their remains buried with them at the time of the full body burial. We will accept pet cremated remains, either as a second right of interment with a full human body burial, or on their own in a designated pet burial area. Pet remains will require a special enzyme product and will be buried in a small wool shroud that we provide.

How to Arrange a Natural Burial at Oliverian Everlasting

Getting the Facts and Feel of It
If you're considering a natural burial, we welcome you to walk the property, with friends and loved ones, either on your own or during a time when we can walk you through. Or plan to join a guided tour on the second Saturday of the month from April to November. See our Tour Schedule here.

We are happy to answer your questions by phone, email, Zoom, or in person. To make contact, fill out a request here, or drop us an email at [email protected]. This email is checked frequently. If you are experiencing an urgent need, fill out the form on this page to receive further steps.

Purchasing a Burial Right
We sell both preneed and at-need burial rights. We will work together to make sure the arrangements are clear and legal by reviewing and signing an interment contract that reserves space(s), plus necessary waivers. Payment must be complete prior to burial.

Planning a Burial
The burial experience may include clergy, funeral directors, celebrants, family members, or other support services. Our burial ground operators and volunteers will be on hand to help prepare the grave and ceremony space, make sure the area is ready to receive visitors, help direct car parking, and provide guidance in burial ground protocol as needed. During the arrangement conversation, we will clarify the timeline, needs and requirements, and work with you to find solutions so that your funeral experience is as streamlined and full as possible.
At-Need Burials
We will do everything we can to accommodate unplanned burials. Contact us for details using the form on this page for instructions to receive an immediate response.
