Volunteer Checklist

Join the Crowd!

We are a grassroots area nonprofit, not a top-down for-profit corporation. Our vision is to create this burial ground and protect the surrounding conserved land through community, for community. That takes dedicated volunteers who enjoy working in the outdoors. It also means sharing a midday meal with friends, new and old, while picturing this space as we prepare it for generations to come. Please join us.

Here's How to Come Prepared

Clothing
  • Full length shirts and pants
  • Sturdy boots
  • Hat and work gloves
  • Rainwear or extra layer as needed
Tools
  • Chainsaws
  • Handsaws
  • Trimmers
  • Rakes
  • Shovels
  • Spading forks
  • Tarps
  • Wheelbarrows
Food and Water
  • Pack a lunch and plenty of water for yourself, and to share if you wish. Always welcome!
Parking
  • Parking is in the Meadow until the lot is built Please park tight!
Protection and Safety
  • A portapotty is on the premises
  • Ticks are plentiful, so dress and prep accordingly
  • We have a first aid kit with basics, but bring anything you may need
  • Safety glasses, chaps, and any other aids for power tool operating
